History:

On 1932-02-14 at Saxonian Großrückerswalde the first natural 18 meter ski jump was inaugurated.
Then in 1968 the Hähnelbergschanze-K25 with steel inrun tower was constructed, two years later pioneer hill K10. Already in 1972 the jumps were modernized and the children’s and youth Spartakiade was hosted. In 1975 the jumps were covered with plastic mattings. The Pioneer hill was already dismantled in 1982 and after that the larger jump again converted, but the declining interest of children for ski jumping and a lack of trainers lead to the end of the ski jumping hill in 1988. In early 1990’s the Hähnelbergschanze was finally completely removed.
