History:

The ski jump at Grasberg in Poppenhausen at the Wasserkuppe in the Rhön was completed in 1955. In the following years local ski jumpers could celebrate some supra-regional achievements, but then ski jumping declined in 1980’s. Finally the last ski jumping competition at Poppenhausen took place in winter 1988/89.
