History:

The Gebrüder-Wehrmann-Schanzen at Warmensteinach are part of the country’s performance centre and the K90 is also the largest ski jump of northern Bavaria. The K42,5 and K22 jump, which was renewed and modernized in 2007, are covered with plastic mattings for summer training. All jumps are frequently used for national and international competetions, as well as regular training activities of WSV Warmensteinach.
Already in 1911 the very first “Schanze am Hängweg” was constructed and later renamed into Gebrüder-Wehrmann-Schanze. Between 1949 and 1993 14 Bavarian, 9 German Nordic Ski Championships and 4 international tournaments were hosted at Warmensteinach. In 1971 even the ZDF reported live from the jump during the sports program “Aktuelles Sport-Studio”. For a last time the 90 meter ski jumping hill has been converted for Nordic Youth Championships in 1988.
