In the 1980’s Sepp Mühlbauer reanimated ski jumping at Lam. “Schlepp” himself, how his friends call him, was a enthusiastic ski jumper. He built together with some supporters the “Stierbergschanze” in the village Schmelz, belonging to Lam, which was opened in 1987 with the club championship of the WSV Schmelz. With competitions on self-made snow jumping hills the tried get children and teenagers in favour of ski jumping and he succeed.
