History:

The first ski jumping hill of Degenfeld was inaugurated at Winterhalde on the "Kalten Feld" in 1926 and one year later Swabian Championships were hosted for a first time.
After ski jumping activities were disrupted in the years of World War II, the Winterhalde-Schanze was reconstructed and Swabian Championships organized once again in 1947. In 1950's many competition were organized with great attendances. Still today the 88 meter ski jumping hill is used in winters for international junior competitions.
For junior training there are the plastic covered Kaltefeld hills.
