History:

The Braunhardsberg-Schanze was built in 1930 by voluntary workers. Joined by a few clubs around, it was opened the same year. In the following years, quite a few regional competitions took place on the ski jump, which was a rather difficult one to jump.
The beginning of World War II caused an immediate stoppage of all sports activities of the ski club. Shortly after the club was re-founded in 1950, the chairman Gottlieb Haug initiated an enlargement to a 40-meter-hill.
But only two years later, an unexpected landslide destroyed the ski jump completely. The forest aisle is meanwhile overgrown, the ski jump is hardly recognizable except a few fundaments.
