History:
The "Stuttgarter Albskiläufer Vereinigung" (SAV) and the Schneelaufverein „Lenninger Tal” (SVL) from Kirchheim unter Teck have been actively doing winter sports at Schopfloch near Lenningen on Swabian Alb since mid-1920s. Beisdes a skiing cabin, SAV also constructed a ski jumping hill with a wooden inrun tower there in 1926-27. On February 1, 1931 the enlarged Renzenhauschanze was inaugurated and the opening competition was attended by around 1,500 spectators. Until 1939, annual club championships had been held there. Also after World War II, the hill at Renzenhau was reconstructed in 1949. However, in 1953 the ski jump had to be removed due to the road to Wiesensteig being built.
