History:

At the Siebenmühlental (seven mills valley) in Schwaben, not far from Stuttgart, on 1954-02-27 a ski jumping hill was opened at Hauberg above Eselsmühle and named „Piz Mus“. 600 spectators watched the victory of local hero Albert Röhrle, had had also supported the construction, with a first record of 32 m. The outrun of the hill went on a wooden bridge over the Reichenbach.
Later Georg Thoma shall have set up a hill record of 45 m, other sources even tell of 48 m. Up to 3000 spectators shall have attended also night competitions on the ski jump of Musberg. From 19965 to 1995, there was also a small ski lift. Now, Musberg is a district of Leinfelden-Echterdingen.

Schanzenrekord
