History:
The WSV Isny in Allgaeu was founded in 1919 and has been operating several ski jumping hills during its long history.
The "Schwabenschanze" on "Salmaser Höhe" near Wiederhofen, around 20 km south of Isny, was built in 1922 and presuambly used until World War II.
Within the town, "Dinkelacker-Schanze" was built at "Felderhalde" in 1924 and had also been restored after World War II in 1950.
For the German Ski Championships in 1924, the Hasenberg-Schanze at Großholzleute was constructed in 1923 and operated together with Skizunft Leutkirch. The longest jump of the "DM" on 1924-02-03 was made by Martin Neuner from Partenkirchen with 39.5 meters in front of a large crowd that came to Allgaeu by chartered trains.
Already in 1925-26 Hasenbergschanze was replaced by the larger Iberg-Schanze, which was built around 5 km south of Isny at Riedhölz/Maierhöfen.
After World War II, Iberg-Schanze was reopened in 1949. The large hilld had been hosting four German National Championships from 1949 to 1980.
Furthermore, in 1972 Fluckenschanze-K40 was set up on the territory of Maierhöfen.
In 1994-95 a completely new ski jumping facility with three plastic-covered ski jumps K60, K30, and K15 was constructed at Hasenberg in Großholzleute, which is a district of Isny. The hills were inaugurated on July 2 & 3, 1995 and have since been used for training of young ski jumpers and hosting (even a few international) youth competitions. The plastic covered hills are equipped with floodlights and from 2007 to 2012 they had been modernized for a total of 473,000 Euros.
With an extension that was built in 2012, the K15 hill could also be used by younger athletes as a K10. With the modernization in 2018-19 this was replaced by a permanent K9 ski jump and the landing hill was covered with new mattings.
