History:

Already one year after the ski club Langenordnach was founded, the first ski jump was built on the Schwarzhansen farmyard. The opening competition, which ALbert Ketterer from Breitnau won with jumps on 28 and 29 meters, took place in the next winter. He was also the man to beat in the following years and so earned the challenge cup, which the community donated.
20 years after the first construction of a ski jump, a new project started. At Winterberg, near Ketterer farmyard, the club got the license to use a ground for building a new ski jump. Thanks to many volunteers and hard (machine) work, the ski jump could be inaugurated on March 6th 1971. This competition meanwhile also was counted as a district championship. Unfortunately, it was just one of three competitions which were held on this ski jump.
The third and final ski jump was built in 1986. It was located on the opposite side of today's Gasthaus Hirschen. This ski jump even saw a night competition under floodlight. One of the participants was the famous Martin Schmitt, who was just eight years old back then. As well as the other two ski jumps, this one could not be seen anymore.
Still, SC Langenordnach is very active in wintersports. With Ramona Straub, they even have a World Champion among them.
