History:
One of the first small ski hills of France was built at Mont Revard above Aix-les-Bains in the beginning of 20th century and people started ski jumping there. In 1921, a permanent ski jumping hill was set up at La Gaillarde below the summit. For an international competition in 1925 a new ski jump was built at Col des Ébats and two years later a practising hill was added.
In 1930 the ski jump at the forest at La Gaillarde was renewed and in 1932 the large ski jump at Col des Ébats, too. That one was also revived for usage after World War II in 1950.
