History:

In the years 1928-1930 there was a natural ski jumping hill with wooden take-off table in Le Bessat. It was then reconstructed and inaugurated on 16 February 1930 and named after Christian Matte, an athlete from St. Etienne, who had died in La Meige.
In the years 1947-1950 a new jumping hill with a high wooden inrun tower was constructed. This hill then had to be closed in 1966 for security reasons. Parts of the take-off and landing hill can still be seen today. Below the former ski jump an information sign was erected.
