History:

The Altvater-Schanze ski jump was opened in Karlova Studánka/Bad Karlsbrunn, in the famous mountain resort region of Hrubý Jeseník (German: Altvatergebirge) in 1932. Local competitions were held there, but often with the participation of top-class competitors, including guests from Norway. The hill had a partially artificial inrun structure. The landing area passed into a bridge over Bílá Opava river and ended with a counterslope with a stone foundation. After World War II, the hill was no longer used and ski jumping in the area moved to the jump near the Barborka mountain hut.
