The largest ski jumping hill around Jablonec nad Nisou was located on the border of the Mšeno district to Loučná in Janov nad Nisou municipality. Also the Germans built their first hill in town at this place before World War II. In the 1950's, a hill with a critical point of 52 meters was built. Between 1958 and 1968, international competitions took place there with well-known participants such as Helmut Recknagel. The ski jump had a steel inrun tower and even floodlights, so evening competitions could be held. In 1976, also a children's hill with a critical point of 30 meters was built. But, the last jumps there were made in 1978. Later on, parts of the inrun tower were used for a rooftop.
