The first ski jumping hill called Teichschanze was built by the local factory owner Riedel at the beginning of the 1920's. It was located near the spa and allowed longest jumps around 40 meters. Back in the day, the German club WSV Wurzelsdorf regularly hosted competitions there. In 1949, a K45 was built by Sokol Cutisin. The wooden inrun tower was 8 meters high, the natural slope was slightly modified. In 1953, there were more competitions on the hills. The larger one was used until 1959, while the smaller operated also in the 60's.
