History:

The first ski jump was built in the Riesengrund (cz. Obří Důl). Originally it was called Gründbachschanze and later it was renamed Gustl-Berauer-Schanze after the most famous local athlete. Distances between 60 and 65 meters could be jumped on the hill. In the 1920s and 1930s, top-class competitions took place there, even the legendary Birger Ruud jumped participated. In addition to the German hill already mentioned, there was another P52 hill in Pec, which belonged to Svaz Lyžařů, i.e. the Czech Ski Association.
In the village, the residents also jumped on a wooden 26-meter jump at the university cabin. The hill was completely hidden in the forest, on the way to the Richter cabin (Richtrovy Boudy). In 1947 Karel Jarolímek drafted plans for a new ski jumping facility with P30 and P70, which were not implemented.
