History:

Construction works for the first ski jumping hill with wooden inrun tower at Bechyně in 1950/51 were mainly done by a group around Josef Cimbálník. Even Olympic participant Miloslav Bělonožník came there frequently for competitions and even set the hill record with 37 meters in 1956. Short time later Eliáška ski jump was converted and a steel tower with wooden components was set up. However, in the following years winters with little snow hardly permitted any ski jumping. Furthermore, the ski jump was damaged by floodings several times and wooden parts started to rot. Already in 1960 the last jumps were performed and in 1965 it was removed after a fire.
