History:
As early as 1910, the Innsbruck Ski Club organized ski jumping courses and competitions on a ski jump in the Lärchenwald in Mutters, at the foot of the Muttereralm. In the 1920s the Sportklub Tirol then operated its 25-meter hill on the Mutterer Alm.
In autumn 1927, the Mutters winter sports club built a new 50-meter ski jump at the Lärchenwald, designed by architect Luis Albrecht. At the end of 1927, a smaller alternative hill was also built under the Pfriemesköpfel on the Muttereralm, on which distances of 30 meters could be achieved. The large Mutterer Schanze could only be opened in December 1928. In the 1930s and also during World War II, it was used a lot by Innsbruck ski jumpers.
