In Grünau im Almtal a ski jump was built below the Kirchmühlerkogel in 1951. This hill was used until 1964. Around the same time, a new ski jumping center was built at the Kasbergalm on over 1500 meters.
The longest jump on the hill was 60 meters by Helmut Machart. However, he fell and due to his injuries he was carried away sitting on a chair. Still today, signs remind of the former ski jump - and the chair!
