History:

In October 1924 the WSV Windischgarsten began with the construction of the ski jumps at Gunsthang and already on Christmas they had been inaugurated. After that many competitions took place on Gunsthangschanze.
After World War II this ski jumping facility was in a desolate condition and so in 1949 the construction of an 80 m hill at Garstnereck had to start, in order to be able to host the Austrian ski championships in 1951 and therefore the whole town was working. In January 1950 the new K70 hill was inaugurated and one year later the Austrian Chmapionships were succesfully hosted on the new K70 and K45 Gunstschanze.
Later both jumps unfortunately dilapidated.
