Wisła-Malinka still without operating ski lift

on 2011-06-15

Nobody in Wisła isn't s sure that broken ski lift will be ready for Summer Grand Prix event on 16 & 17 July 2011. Construction company fails to meet the deadlines and widespread embarrassment rises. Simple faults during the extended construction time can cause a great, worldwide shame.

The ski lift at Malinka ski jump in Wisła in Poland hasn't been working since December 2010. During COC competitions jumpers had to be carried by jeeps on the top of the inrun, what's more because of melting of inrun trails second round of the competition had to be cancelled. Good name of Adam Małysz's home hill will be probably once again disgraced, because this ski lift still doesn't work.

There are problems with plumbing, mechanics and electrics, so that jumpers using ski lift now could be suddenly slide down. Deadline was established on 28th May, but company still haven't repaired ski lift. Chairman of Polish Ski Association, Apoloniusz Tajner, usually calm, is also embarrassed and frustrated.

Nearest competitions of Sommer Grand Prix are scheduled for 17. July.

Malinka

Najbliższy konkurs 17 lipca to będzie konkurs indywidualny LGP, a nie Puchar Kontynentalny.
