Arne Braathen from Starkweather, ND. He qualified to go to the 1936 Olympics, but did not go. The Olympics were in Germany that year and his family in Norway had warned him that Germany was not safe due to everything Hitler was doing. He had some really cool stories about ski jumping. The Devil's Lake ski jump was one of the most dangerous ski jumps to jump off of.
